Professional Rug Cleaning Services
Rugs are safely cleaned using our pH balanced
citrus cleaner that helps prevent against fading
and color migration. Professional rug cleaning
is a detailed process that includes the following steps:
1. Pre-Wash Inspection
Your rug is inspected for any conditions that may
be of concern: prior dye bleeding, worn areas, tears,
and more. We will call you if special attention is
needed.
2. Dust Removal
Both sides of rugs are thoroughly swept using a
special vacuum with beater bars to remove loose
soil. (Rugs can hold up to 1 pound of dirt per
square foot before appearing dirty!)
3. Wash & Treat
Your rugs are hand-washed using several techniques
tailored to the specific needs of each rug depending
on the fibers, dyes, soiling and construction.
4. Odor Neutralization
A freshening agent is used to help neutralize basic
odors. (For rugs with deeper bacteria problems, we
recommend the purchase of our Ozone Treatment,
which actually kills odor-causing bacteria.)
5. Dry
Rugs are dried flat to help avoid color migration
and fiber stretching.
6. Post Detailing
Before your rug is wrapped and prepared for delivery,
it is dusted again on both sides.
7. Repairs & Restorations
We can replace or repair any fringes whether silk,
wool or basic white cotton. Or if your rug is damaged
from rips, holes or tears, our Master Weaver will
provide a custom quote after inspecting.
